Eligibility for 20 Hours ECE

• Eligibility starts when a child turns 3. Parents are to sign the 20 Hours ECE attestation on their child’s enrolment form before it can be claimed.

• All 3, 4 and 5-year-old children who are enrolled at Pakuranga Learning Centre are eligible for 20 Hours ECE. This is regardless of family income, immigration status or any other reason.

WINZ childcare subsidy

Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) provides a subsidy against your level of income. This may be applicable for some parents who have children at our Centre. Full payment of fees is the parent/caregiver’s responsibility and must be paid in full until a subsidy has been approved. To know more, click here.

Fees

• All fees are to be paid one week in advance. The fees are GST and all meals inclusive and are subject to change.

• We cannot guarantee your child’s place if the fees are more than two weeks overdue.

• Automatic payments, direct debit or internet banking are our preferred methods of payment. Please contact the Centre to learn more about our fee schedule.

• After hours charges will apply if your child is not picked up by the enroled time. The Centre must be informed regarding any delays in picking up your child to ensure staff can make appropriate arrangements.

 

Withdrawing your child

Parents must give two weeks’ notice before withdrawing their child.

Changing your booked times/days

A one-week notice is required for any changes to the times/days your child has been enrolled for. Enrolment days cannot be swapped.

Sign in / out sheets

The Ministry of Education requires all parents to sign their children in and out of the Centre every day. This a legal requirement as well as a safety measure. Please ensure that you acknowledge your child's arrival/departure with the teachers and ‘sign in and out’ on the sheet.

Attendance

Attendance is important at the Centre. If you are aware of any intended absence, kindly inform the Centre Manager and staff as soon as practicable.

Nutrition

Children need fresh, nutritious food and well-balanced meals. We provide a healthy breakfast, morning tea, hot lunch, afternoon tea and late snacks at our Centre. Please advise staff of any food allergies, so that this can be recorded and strictly adhered to. Our centre is nut-free.

 

Birthday

Complimentary use of the popular "PLC Party Venue" (only on weekends) will be offered to celebrate your child’s birthday with 20 children and a cake provided by the Centre. Whānau are welcome to bring their cake as well. Your child can have a special day at their Learning Centre. Further details will be available on enrolment.
