Baby daycare in the Aroha Room
A separate room for our youngest children, from 3 months to 2 years.
A room of their own
Babies and toddlers at Pakuranga Learning Centre have their own licensed space, the Aroha Room, separate from the older children. We are licensed for up to 25 children under 2, in a calm room set up for sleeping, feeding, floor play and first steps.
Gentle routines
Your baby's day follows their own rhythm: sleeps, feeds and play in the pattern you set at home, not a fixed timetable. New Zealand licensing requires one teacher for every four children under 2, so the room stays small, quiet and responsive.
You see the day
You will know how the day went: what they ate, how they slept, and what they got up to. We share updates through Educa and you are always welcome to call during the day.
Practical details
The Aroha Room runs our full hours: 7:00am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. Cooked meals and snacks are provided daily. 20 Hours ECE applies from age 3, so for under-2s the WINZ Childcare Subsidy is the main support available; we are WINZ approved and can help with the application.
Moving up
When your child turns 2 they move to the Pukeko area with the over-2s. We make that change gradually, with short visits and familiar teachers, when they are ready.
