Aroha Room |
0–2 years
A loving, nurturing space where our youngest learners build strong, secure relationships, feel comforted by gentle routines, and explore the world through movement and sensory experiences with consistent, responsive care from familiar teachers.
Mixed-age learning for children over 2 years
Our over-2 learning spaces are designed as mixed-age environments where children learn alongside peers at different stages of development. Younger children benefit from observing older peers, while older children build confidence, empathy, and leadership skills. As children move through the Pūkeko and Taniwha areas, they develop independence, social confidence, and the early learning foundations that support a smooth transition to primary school.
Pūkeko Area | 2–4 years
A welcoming mixed-age learning space where children build confidence, language, and independence through play-based exploration, guided routines, and strong relationships with familiar teachers.
Taniwha Area | 4–5 years
A structured learning area for older children, with enriching experiences that support independence, communication, and early learning habits, alongside a strong focus on readiness for a confident transition to school.
